In September 2008, the Polish Donors Forum in collaboration with the Polish-German Cooperation Foundation launched a series of international seminars devoted to the Polish and European regulations on foundations. This initiative, held under the patronage of the Marshal of Polish Senate aims at laying the groundwork for the reform of legal framework for the operation of foundations in Poland.  The seminars are intended to provide Polish audience with the international comparative perspective on the Polish regulations, problems and challenges.

On November 4, 2009, another event of this series will be held - the debate on “The law on foundations”. The opening speech will be delivered by the Marshal of Polish Senate – Krystyna Bochenek.  The discussion will be moderated by Ewa Kulik-Bielinska of the Polish Donors Forum.

This seminar is meant to conclude the whole series during which international experts and practitioners discussed different legal regulations related to foundations operations in Poland, the EU, and the United States.
