The primary goal of the proposed project is to promote integrity in the election campaigns, to mobilize civil society organizations in order to exercise effective control and monitoring over the forthcoming election campaigns in view of prevention of buying of electoral votes and through it to increase the level of integrity of the democratic process in general. Major aims of the proposed initiative are: To mobilise public support and to exert effective civil society pressure for undertaking adequate measures against the attempts for buying electoral votes and corruption of the electoral process in the upcoming elections for MPs in the 41-th National Assembly and members of the European Parliament in 2009. To exert real civil society control over the electoral process in order to ensure fair and transparent elections, based on respect for citizen rights and freedoms of voters as well as on respect for international standards of conducting fair and democratic elections.
