The objectives of this project are to involve young people in local government; inspire them to develop and apply critical thinking skills; establish a closer relationship between academic concepts and a practical application of democratic principles in the context of local government; promote the idea that office in local government is a worthy career goal and that students are the leaders of tomorrow. Within the project student elections will be conducted for youth Mayor and City Council president and members. Municipality will host a student "Walk in my shoes" days to demonstrating that high office in local government is a worthy career goal. |
