| Project Description | The goal of this project is to ensure protection of the environmental rights of the Bulgarian citizens and safeguard the welfare of Bulgarian Black Sea coastal area in connection with the Bourgas- Alexandrupoulis pipeline through the following solutions to the current and expected problems: press for disclosure of vital public information by the authorities, develop broad public awareness of the concrete parameters of the pipeline project and its socio-economic and environmental implications, enable public participation in decision-making regarding the project and/ or citizens’ access to environmental justice, introduce a mechanism of on-going citizens control for the lifetime of the project, in case the pipeline gets approved for construction. |
