| Project Description | The goal of this project is, by using the resources of a small non-governmental organization (SEAL) that will form a coalition of like-minded organizations and individuals, to increase awareness about the dangers of nationalism in state educational officials, NGO-allies and general public and to exert pressure on the system of mechanisms and stakeholders for educational change. The educational change itself consists in introducing new education policies aimed at harmonizing traditional “patriotic” and new – civic, Euro-integrative, sensitive towards the problems of minorities and disadvantaged groups – education: this change must identify “bridge” values between patriotism, civic participation and Euro-integration that will serve as a basis for the consolidation of a new social solidarity. At the same time, this project will seek to identify groups, partners and supporters from the educational sphere that could facilitate such a change and actively counter growing nationalist and intolerant attitudes towards ethnic minorities. |
