| Project Description | The goal of the project is to support the advance of civic engagement in local problem solving and encourage public and private involvement towards securing resources for remote communities and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) that operate there for public good. The objectives are: • To address social, economic, cultural and environmental needs of small, poor and/or marginalized communities with increased participation of ordinary people from all segments of those communities in local action and decision-making; • To provide development opportunities to number of local communities through ensuring indigenous additional resources in the form of finance (small grants), human resources (consultants on specific topics), know-how (knowledge, research and practical skills) and networking; • To support the advance of civic activism and encouraging public involvement, stimulate the process of cooperation between the three sectors for public benefit and foster the development of local resource mobilization |
