The overall goal of the project is to contribute to the improvement of professional practices, law-implementation, and legislation addressing the human rights abuse manifest in the lack of legal remedies to victims of domestic violence (DV) in Hungary.

The specific objectives are:

• To support, monitor and inform the application of laws and regulations related to DV with a focus on victims’ human rights;
• To raise the awareness of the general public and the professions coming into contact  with DV of the necessity to change certain regulations and practices;
• To engage professionals to disseminate the recommendations on DV;
• To advocate management-level institutional decision makers to change professional practices and possibly to engage in advocating for legislation at a later stage.
